The Coolest Old Cars with the Frown

The Car with the Frown
As I sat here this morning I wasn't sure what I want to write about, but something kept coming into my thoughts that would not go away. It was like a ghost haunting me. I could see it like it was right in front of me. It was the car that I would pass every morning on my way to work. The car was a bit unusual, it had a frown upon its face.
Many may be wondering, how does a car carry a frown when its just got a grill and headlights. Well, this car was an older model, maybe between 1940 and 1960, I'm the worse judge of cars. The paint is worn like an old pair of jeans. It is down to the original silver of the car, before the first touch of paint was applied. The headlights are perked up and ready to shine brightly again. The grill of the car is turned in a way that reminds one of a frown.
I passed this car routinely on my way to work, everyday I would think about what that sad, old car had witnessed in his lifetime. Why was he frowning now? Was the frown due to the condition that someone had let him get into, so old and out of shape?
I believe the car is missing the bright blue paint that he once wore, the white leather seats, the chrome grill that sparkled both day and night, and those headlights that twinkled like the stars from heaven. He missed going on those dates and hearing the music play softly from the radio as the two lovebirds snuggled up together in the front seat.
Oh, the movies he would watch. The stars he saw at the big outside picture show. Of all the stars he saw his favorite had to be Maryilyn. She was graceful, yet full of spunk. He got excited every time that he heard they were going to the picture show. The dancing and singing, how he wished he could dance like Carey.
The drives through the country side had to be the next favorite thing to do, when they drive for hours to that prefect picnic place. The scents of country, the fresh cut hay, the spring flowers, and the grass from the mower. They would stop under the tree full of leaves, shaded just right for the couple to enjoy the meal that they have prepared with love.
Bringing home those precious, tiny, babies was the best experiences of all. They were so small and smelled so good. I had to drive extra slow, cautious and watch every bump to keep the baby safe. They didn't have seat belts or car seats back in the day. It felt good to deliver the baby safely home from the hospital.
Now look at me, I'm all worn and old. No one has taken care of me in years. All I need is a good new coat of paint. I need some good ole fashioned TLC. No one shows much interest in me. I get driven around, that's all I seem to be good for. The music doesn't come out my radio like it used to. I have nothing to look forward to everyday, just the same route to and from work.
I wear this sad face, my lights are dim. I have no fancy paint on my body. I hope that some day, someone will fix me up again. They will paint me, my bright blue again. I might even consider those new eyelashes for my bright new headlights. My frown would be turned upside down and I would be smiling from tire to tire.
